Der größere William Optics Redcat Apo mit 71mm Durchmesser und 350mm Brennweite ist ein echtes Petzval Design, im Fokus hat man automatisch die beste Feldkorrektur und muss keinen Arbeitsabstand berücksichtigen.
Beim Fokussieren wird die ganze kleine Teleskop Einheit im Tubus verschoben, der Helical Fokussierer ist griffig gummiarmiert und die Gängigkeit einstellbar.
Die Optik hat uns im Test überzeugt, die Farbkorrektur ist aussergewöhnlich gut und die Sterne bleiben bis in die Vollformat Ecken nahezu rund.
Testergebnisse siehe Foto Tab. Das Objektiv ist justierbar und die Abbildung kann somit von uns gepflegt werden.

- echtes Petzval Design, kein Flattener und keine Abstandssuche nötig - es passt im Fokus automatisch
- extrem farbreine Optik (FPL-53 und FPL-51, 4 Elemente in 3 Gruppen)
- Sehr gut korrigiertes und ausgeleuchtetes Bildfeld von 44 mm Durchmesser - bis zum Vollformat (siehe Foto Tab für Flat und Korrektur)
- bessere Transmission als ein Fotoobjektiv mit vielen Linsen
- Kameraanschluss über M48 Außengewinde (vorher M54 Gewinde vorhanden)
- Scharfstellung über präzisen und griffigen Helical Okularauszug, Friktion ist einstellbar
- Prismenschiene passend für Vixen Level
- Standard Sucherschuh passt direkt an die Rohrschelle
- Tragetasche und in der Verschlusskappe integrierte Bahtinov Maske für Astrofotografie sind im Lieferumfang enthalten
